Kyle Riker

Kyle was, born in Alaska. He worked as a civilian attaché for the Federation. Kyle’s only child was William. Two years after William was born his mother died. This trauma created a separation between them for some 30 years.

The only thing that kept Kyle going was Will. But he didn’t feel he could discuss that with him. The memories were too painful for both.

Some years later Kye became involved with Katherine Pulaski.

Betty Riker

Betty Riker was the wife of Kyle Riker and the mother of William Riker and later Thomas Riker. She died in 2237, when will was two years old so he hardly got to know her. Everything Will knew about her was from pictures and stories told to him by his father.

Will told stories of Betty so much that he thought she was alive and was returning. His father had to step in and apologetically tell him she wasn’t.

Ian Andrew Troi

Ian Andrew Troi was the husband of Lwaxana. They married in 2328. They had two daughters Deanna and Kestra. Kestra drowned shortly after Deanna was born. At the request of Lwaxana, she was never mentioned. Ian worshipped Lwaxana.

Ian instilled a fondness of stories of American Wild West, in his daughter Dianna. He would often sing her to sleep with “Down in the Valley.”

He died suddenly in 2243. The family was devastated by his death.

Michael O’Brien

Michael O’Brien was Miles O’Brien’s father. He was first disappointed in his son entry into Starfleet, because wanted him to become a Cello player. However after he found out how accomplished his son was in Starfleet, he couldn’t have been any prouder of his son.

Lwaxana Troi

Lwaxana Troi serves as the Betazoid ambassador. Her full title is "Lwaxana Troi, Daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, and Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed." She has a romantic interest in Picard, however never acted on it. She has a liking to children as seen in her dealings with Alexander Rozhenko.

Kira Maru

Kira Maru was the mother of Nerys and her two brothers Reon and Pohl. As a child she had dreamt of having enough food to eat and clothes to wear, not uncommon dreams for Bajoran children. In 2346 she was selected to be a comfort woman aka a sex slave.
